The Beauty of the World in One Place

Hello everyone I’m John Lloyd! This is my first blog. Come and enjoy with me the scenery of Mirror of the World and Botanical Garden.

The Scene

This unique Bohol tourist destination opened in late 2018. It is the collection of famous statues and structures from around the world. The park has been set up as a lovely botanical garden filled with palms, orchids and other tropical flora. All this in a beautiful setting of mandearing pathways where you can soak up the beauty of the natural surroundings. This is one of a kind when it comes to Bohol activities.

Heading to the Mirror of the World and Botanical Garden

The Mirror of the World and Botanical Graden is located in Libjo, Sikatuna, Bohol. It is 2.7 kilometer away from the Poblacion, Sikatuna and 17 kilometer away from the Tagbilaran City Bohol. You can just go here by riding a bus or jeep with Sikatuna Trip, and especially you can go here by a motorcycle and any private cars.

The Different Phases of the Scenery

Mirror of the World have 5 different phases. It is on its first phase of development as of this moment. They are still ongoing to complete the 5 phases, I guess to complete the World’s greatest wonders and famous landmark.

The entrance fees to Sikatuna‘s Mirror of the World and Botanical Garden is as follows: 150 pesos(adults) 6pm to 9 pm; 120 pesos(adults)daytime; 100 pesos(senior citizen)daytime; 50 pesos(children below 3 ft).

Sikatuna Mirror of the World opens at 7 am and closes at 9 pm. The park takes on a different character at night when the light show cranks up.

The light show is actually nothing fancy, but the main attractions of Christ the Redeemer, Singapore Merlion and Statue of Liberty do change color from white to red to blue. The biggest attraction at night may actually be escaping the oppressive daytime heat. Personally, I would prefer to visit at night for this reason.

Eiffel Tower & Statue of Liberty

Seeing the two replicas of the most famous landmarks of the world overwhelms me. Even though the feeling of being in the exact place is different from just seeing the replicas, what matter the most is the joy that this tourist destination brings to me.

Families and Friends

Being in this place makes me happy and comfortable especially with my family and friends. We can make our bonds stronger by traveling every destination we know. The area is clean and relaxing. This is one of the options to escape from the business of the city.

If you were to make this a highlight of your day you will disappointed. It’s not really a premiere attraction that will complete your Bohol adventure. You only really need an hour to see the whole place and there’s not a lot of ways of comforts.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
